Visiting Lecture Series - Prof. Keung-Koo Kim
From December 15 to 19, 2025, Professor Keung-Koo Kim, Distinguished Professor Specializing in SMR Technology at the Department of NPP Engineering, KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS), visited the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication at the Brno University of Technology (BUT).
Professor Kim earned his degrees from some of the most prestigious institutions, such as Seoul National University (SNU) and MIT. Over his career, he has worked at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) in CANDU Nuclear Fuel Development, HANARO Research Reactor Design and Construction Project, and SMART Development.
During his stay at BUT, Professor Kim delivered a series of lectures on the technology of Korean reactors APR1000 and APR1400.
The lectures were attended by experts and researchers from the nuclear field, as well as students from CTU. We are delighted by the strong interest and positive feedback from attendees, and we look forward to welcoming Professor Kim again in the future.
