About the Course:
The program begins with an introduction to ECCS design, regulatory requirements, and technical standards, followed by shared regulatory experiences and practical insights.  On the second day, participants delve into selected technical issues in ECCS design and regulation, including hands-on auditing calculations.  The third day shifts focus to accident analysis, covering its fundamentals, relevant regulatory frameworks, and again drawing on real-world regulatory experiences. The final day addresses advanced technical topics, additional regulatory case studies, further auditing exercises, and concludes with a Q&A and summary session.

About the Course:
This talk addresses key questions of effective construction management in NPP projects. It examines whether cost overruns and construction delays are inevitable features of NNB and whether a single model for successful project management exists. It also explores the conditions necessary for a more efficient global nuclear supply chain for NNB.

About the Course:
These lectures will introduce an engineering design of the Systems, Structures, and Components (SSC) of the APR1000 nuclear power plant. Emphasis is placed on understanding how plant systems are designed to fulfill the three fundamental nuclear safety functions: reactivity control, core cooling, and confinement of radioactive materials. The lectures integrate reactor physics, thermal-hydraulics, structural integrity, safety analysis, and digital control systems within the framework of Korean pressurized water reactor (PWR) design.

The course breaks down into five lectures, each focused on the Korean reactors APR1000 and APR1400. The course will offer a breaf introduction to the Korean APRs, their fuel and core design, reactor coolant systems and cvcs and their safety systems.

The course focuses on advanced thermohydraulic analysis of nuclear reactors and provides a basic introduction to the CUPID code, which is used for 3D simulations of the APR1400 and OPR1000 reactors.

The course is primarily intended for professionals in the field of nuclear engineering.

NCC Opening Ceremony

The Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University (FNSPE CTU) had hosted the official opening of the Nuclear Collaboration Center (NCC) established together with the KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS). 
The NCC strives to deliver educational courses not only to students but also to the workers in the technical field and the public and is currently operating also at the Brno University of Technology and the University of Warsaw. Among its goals is also the support of joint research and the nuclear industry.

About the Course:
In April, Professor Soo-Jin Park delivered a series of finance lectures as the first official class of the Czech Nuclear Cooperation Center (NCC).

The lectures focused on the financing aspects of NPP and on the Economic Impact Analysis & Energy Planning.

This marks the beginning of full-fledged cooperation for the development of nuclear professionals, and we look forward to even more active collaboration in the future.
