2026

Operation of BUT NCC and Future Lectures Negotiations

At the beggining of February 2026, the KINGS team arrived to Brno University of Technology. Here they discussed the future operations of the oficially opened NCC, the future lectures organized between NCC and BUT and held a meeting regarding the outbound exchange students. 
This business trip also offered the opportunity to hold a presentation which was attended by almost 80 students. There, the teamleader Cheolsung Cho presented KINGS and study options to the young BUT students.

2025

Curriculum operation in cooperation with the Czech NCC

Last special lectures of the year 2025 were delivered by professor Keung-Koo Kim at the Brno University of Technology in the middle of December. 
These lectures were focused on the Korean technology of the advanced reactors (APR1000 and APR1400).
This set of lectures were also special because for the first time, atendees could also join online.

Curriculum operation in cooperation with the Czech NCC

From November 2nd until the 8th, professor Han Young Yoon from the KINGS Department of NPP Engineering delivered a special lecture course.
These lectures, focusing on Thermahydraulics, took place at the Czech Technical University and were attended not only by current students but also by KINGS alumni and professionals from the field.

Opening of the Czech-Korean Nuclear Collaboration Center's Office

In September 2025, the KINGS team consisting of 13 members (present were the acting president, directors, head of department of nuclear industry, professors, managers and other staff members) visited Prague and Pilsen. 
This exciting week began with meeting regarding the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Program (EMJM). This meeting was also attended by CTU's Ing. Ondřej Novák, Ph.D. and a team from the University of Warsaw. 
Next, on the September 9th, the official CTU's NCC office opening took place. This event was attended by representatives from industrial and political spheres and offered a brief forum. 
The team then moved to Pilsen to attend the Nuclear Days Conference, hold an alumni meeting and meet with representatives from the University of West Bohemia regarding the cooperation in fostering nuclear personnel.

2025 Student Exchange Program Implementation

In 2025 KINGS also supported students who came to study at KINGS during the fall semester. Among these students were also 5 from the Czech Republic.
For the period from 1st September to 20th December, KINGS supported students by reimbursing their accommodation fees and lodging and educational expenses.
The exchange students also had a chance to attend technology tours of nuclear-reated organizations and cultural tours.

Participation at the NERS 2025 Conference

From June 16th to June 20th 2025 a KINGS team, including professor Juyoul Kim, professor Keung-Koo Kim, professor Ki-Sig Kang, teamleader Cheolsung Cho, administrative workers Eunseo Jang and Eunyoung Kim, and Czech NCC's head of administration and local researcher Markéta Zavoralová, has visited Prague. 
During this visit, the team members attended the 2025 NERS Conference where professor Juyoul Kim held a captivating presentation.
Apart from that, this business trip included a meeting with Head of Department of Nuclear Reactors at the CTU Ing. Jan Rataj, Ph.D. regarding the NCC CTU office and also a meeting with KINGS alumni and exchange students from Czech Republic.

Outbound Exchange Student Program Operation Consultation

During May 2025, KINGS student affairs team including team manager Keum-Jung Park, manager Hana Kim, Manager Young-Eun Lee, accompanied by the acting president Hak-kyu Lim and professor Joo-il Yoon have visited the Brno University of Technology.
During this visit they discussed the topic of outbound exchange student operation between KINGS and BUT and the future of dual degree programs.

Invitation of Czech Faculty Members for Discussions of a Joint Master Degree Program

Frorm 12th to 17th May, KINGS was visited by the Czech Technical University's representatives. Head of Department of Nuclear Reactors Ing. Jan Rataj, Ph.D. and Ing. Ondřej Novák, Ph.D. had been invited for further discussions regarding the joint master degree program (EU Erasmus Mundus Program).
Their visit included discussions of the future project and discussion of the CENEN activities following the earlier signed MOI between the two.

Energy for Future

In May 2025, an event for the Czech nuclear ppower plant final contract signing was held in Prague.
KINGS representatives acting president Hak-kyu Lim, professor Juyoul Kim and teamleader Cheolsung Cho were also present at this event and had a unique chance to hold meetings with nuclear power plant entrepreneurs that contribute to the export.

Curriculum operation in cooperation with the Czech NCC

Second set of special lectures at the Brno University of Technology was delivered from 27th April to 2nd May by professor Keung-Koo Kim from the KINGS Department of NPP Engineering. 
These lectures were focused on the technology of SMR.

Curriculum operation in cooperation with the Czech NCC

From the 22nd April until the 25th April, professor Soo-Jin Park from the KINGS Department of Energy Policy and Engineering delivered the first Czech NCC special lecture course.
These lectures, focusing on SMR Feasibility and Business Model, Investment Decision Criteria, and Economic and Energy System Models, took place at the Brno University of Technology.

2025 Student Exchange Program Implementation

9 Czech students participating in the spring semester exchange at KINGS received support by having their accommodation, lodging and educational expenses reimbursed.
During the period from 1st March until the 21st June, students could take technical tours and cultural tours offered by KINGS.

Czech Korean Investment and Business Confrerence

In February 2025 the CzechInvest Agency in cooperation with the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Korea Investment and Trade Promotion Agency (KOTRA) held an investment conference at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul aimed at strengthening Czech-Korean cooperation in strategic sectors.
Through this event, key figures I were invited and participated in the 
Korea-Czech Energy Tech Forum.
KINGS professors Juyoul Kim, Chang-Lak Kim, Keung-Koo Kim and teamleader Cheolsung Cho were also present. The representatives from KINGS, CENEN (Tomáš Čechák) and ANV (Jiří Marek) used this forum as an opportunity for signing a MOI for cooperation in fostering human resources for the Korea-Czech nuclear power plant program.
Professor Juyoul Kim also held a presentation, introducing KINGS human resource development programs and the achievements of its collaboration with several Czech universities over the past six years.

Invitation Program for the Head of Administration of the Czech Nuclear Collaboration Center (NCC) 

In January 2025, KINGS was visited by the international NCC team - Head of Administration of the Polish Nuclear Collaboration Center Joanna Kołeczko and the Head of Administration of the Czech Nuclear Collaboration Center Markéta Zavoralová. 
These two key workers were introduced to the history of KINGS and received a tour of the main facilities. Apart from that a technical and cultural program was offered as well as administrative training.

2024

V4-ROK University Presidents Forum for Nuclear Industry Human Resources Development

The 2nd V4-ROK University Presidents Forum for Nuclear Industry Human Resource Development took place in September 2024 at the Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic). 
This year's topic was the Empowering the Next Generation Nuclear Energy and 9 univversities participated, presenting their study programs.
12 KINGS representatives, including the acting president Hak-kyu Lim, participated in the forum and also had the opportunity to visit Brno and conduct an on-site preliminary inspection.

Signing of MOU with the Czech Republic on the Exchanges in the Nuclear Power Sector

In September 2024 KINGS representatives professor Chang-Lak Kim, professor Juyoul Kim, professor Ki-Sig Kang and teamleader Cheolsung Cho, visited Pilsen (Czech Republic).

They conducted a pre-MOU signing ceremony and discussed future cooperation between KINGS and BUT (Brno University of Technology) and participated in a nuclear industry MOU signing ceremony attended by high-level officials from the Korean and Czech governments.

2024 Student Exchange Program Implementation

KINGS also supported 3 Czech students who came to KINGS for the fall semester.
For the period from 2nd September to 21st December, KINGS supported students by reimbursing their airline ticket, accommodation fees and food expenses.
As always, the students were offered technological tours of the related organizations and cultural tours.

2024 Semestral Student Exchange Program Implementation

In 2024 KINGS supported 5 Czech students during their spring semester exchange program at KINGS. 
For the period from 1st March to 21st June, KINGS supported students by reimbursing their accommodation fees and food expenses.
The exchange students also had a chance to attend technology tours of nuclear-reated organizations and cultural tours.

2023

2023 Student Exchange Program Implementation

In 2023 KINGS supported 3 Czech students during their fall semester exchange program at KINGS. 
For the period from 1st September to 23rd December, KINGS supported students by reimbursing their round-trip airplane tickets, accommodation fees and food expenses.
The exchange students also had a chance to attend technical tours to related organizations, such as Doosan Enerbility. 
Students also participated in many unique activities such and cultural workshops.

NYSP - Nuclear Youth Summer Program 2023

The 2023 NYSP was organized between the period of 21st August and 1st September.
During this 2 week program total of 22 students (6 Czech students) were introduced to the Korean nuclear power plants, had a unique oportunity to visit the power plants and related industries, as well as experience Korean culture.

V4-ROK University Presidents Forum for Nuclear Industry Human Resources Development

In July 2023, the 1st V4-ROK University Presidents Forum for Nuclear Industry Human Resource Development was organised by Professor Kipung Yoo, President of Kepco International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS).
The forum took place in South Korea, namely in Seoul, Daejon, Gyeonggi, Changwon, Busan and Ulsan. The forum was attended by up to 25 oversies and up to 20 domestic guests. From KINGS 15 representatives were participating and from Czech Republic 7 including BUT's prof. Ing. Karel Katovský. Ph.D.

Invitation of Professors from Leading Universities

During the period of 24th to 27th April, KINGS invited professors from Czech Republic and Poland as a part of the KINGS Global Nuclear Academic Network Programme. 
From Czech Republic, Ing. Jan Rataj, Ph.D. represented the Czech Technical University in Prague and doc. Ing. Martin Lovecký, Ph.D represented the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
This meetings took place not only in Ulsan, where KINGS is located, but also in Busan, Changwon and Seoul.
The delegation was introduced to KINGS, Korean nuclear power plants and visited major nuclear field-related institutions. A Korean cultural experience also took place.

2022

Consultations on European Human Resource Development Cooperation

From the 5th November until the 19th November, professor Juyoul Kim and teamleader Cheolsung Cho, attended the 7th Czech-Korean Future Forum held in Prague.
During this business trip, the KINGS representatived had a chance to also hold meetings with Czech Technical University rector to discuss program expansion and cooperation and with government agencies in Czech Republic.
During this time, they also had a chance to visit Brno and organize an alumni meeting.

2022 Student Exchange Program Implementation

In 2022 KINGS supported 4 Czech students during their fall semester exchange program at KINGS. 
For the period from 29th August to 16th December, KINGS supported students by reimbursing their round-trip airplane tickets and offering tours of Korean nuclear-related institutions.
Students could also participate in many unique activities such as cultural workshops (eg. traditional instruments class, making of traditional sweet rice cakes), fall festival, cross cultural classes (eg. Nanta performace), and even helping with the cleaning of a local beach after typhoon!

NYSP - Nuclear Youth Summer Program 2022

The NYSP of 2022 was held from the 22nd August until the 2nd of September.
During this 2 week program 12 Polish and 10 Czech students were introduced to the Korean nuclear power plants, had a unique oportunity to visit the power plants and related industries, as well as experience Korean culture.
